Speaker 1:

Chapter five no secret agents. So bottom line if you're a secret agent meaning you're hiding and not putting yourself out there stop it. My guess is you care too damn much what other people think, and this, my friend, will get you nowhere fast. And I can speak to this because I was there and in a way still battle this worry, care or fear of what other people will think from time to time. The difference is now, the thought or care certainly doesn't stop me from taking action. I do the thing anyway, and the more it scares me and pushes me outside of my comfort zone, the more I know it's the right direction to go.

Speaker 1:

I hear so many agents say, oh, I can't do that, or, or that won't work, or I don't want to bother them, I don't want to bombard people, it's hard, they won't want to work with me, I don't want to be salesy, I can't call them. It's been years, and the list goes on and on and on of all the reasons why they aren't worthy enough to grow a kick-ass business of their own. You see, if any one person has done what you want to do or has the kind of business you want to have, there is no reason you can't have it as well. You are your only problem and you are your only solution, because nothing changes if nothing changes. I mean think about a great movie you saw, or a new restaurant you tried and you loved it, or your favorite band. I mean you would tell everyone you know about the great experience you had, especially if they asked and if you got 50 tickets to your favorite band. You would invite everyone you know with excitement and enthusiasm and you'd have the best time ever. So why not your business? You do understand that if they don't work with you, they will work with some other agent who more than likely won't do as good of a job as you would, and you are depriving them of having an amazing experience with a great agent like you. You know, if you don't ask or put yourself out there, the answer is already no. So why not ask If the fear of rejection is keeping you stuck? You have more inner work to do. I mean consider joining an accountability group, watch motivational YouTube videos or podcasts, or reading or listening to books on self-development to better understand yourself.

Hiring a great coach or mentor can quantum leap your results, and that's what I did and continue to do for myself, both personally and professionally, and I also coach and mentor others to get from where they are to where they want to be. I'm living my passion by helping others. You see, we all have blinders on and need a great coach to point out our blind spots. Now reach out, I can help you. I mean, think about it. What would your business look like if you 10x your results? How about 100x? Would 500x change your life? Yes, yes, it would so.

Speaker 1:

Quit playing small and limiting your growth. You know, if you're going to spend your time, your days, nights and weekends doing this thing, why not get the best results for your time spent? Now take action. I want you to, every day, take uncomfortable action, even if it's a small thing. Start flexing this muscle, even if it's a small thing. Start flexing this muscle. See, growth happens in those uncomfortable spaces. So if it's not pushing you or making you a little bit hesitant or uncomfortable or a lot hesitant and uncomfortable and fearful, it's not a big enough goal or it's not a big enough action. You really want to take action 1% better every day, and that includes getting uncomfortable, getting comfortable being uncomfortable. So next week we're going to talk about treating your business like a business.
